Plank is hiring a full-time Laravel Specialist who is interested in making a significant contribution to both the company as a whole and to the work that we do.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop Laravel sites and applications primarily using PHP and JavaScript
  • Implementing testing & creating a testing strategy
  • Assisting junior developers and other team members
  • Leading development strategy on projects
  • Producing high-quality code
  • Creating estimates, hitting time targets
  • Code reviews - elevating & enforcing standards/best practices
  • Researching and evaluating plugins

Skills we’re looking for:

  • MVC frameworks knowledge
  • PHP
  • System architecture
  • Git
  • HTML/CSS

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch / OpenSearch
  • Firm grasp of testing frameworks, such as PHPUnit, Pest, etc
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, including React, Vue
  • Familiarity with Laravel Nova
  • Cypress, Jest, BackstopJS
  • Webpack, Gulp, Babel
  • Experience with multilingual websites
  • Experience with festival and ticketing systems (Tessitura, Spektrix, Festival Pro, etc)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
